My cat's new addiction

I was going around the house yesterday feeding our fish(we have three tanks) when I dropped the canister of fish food. I figured that I would finish feeding the fish then grab the dust buster and clean up the little spill. Well I finished the feeding grabbed the dust buster only to find that the little mess was gone! Curious to find out what happened I took a little fish food out and placed it on the floor. About a minute later (if that long) one of our cats cane along and licked up every last flake! Has this ever happened to you?

Yep it sure has and not just with fish food. My cats will eat paper, cardboard, string, etc. Pretty much anything they can get a hold of. Its like they have a non cat food radar. If its not for them to eat then they will eat it. At first I thought they might be deficient in something but I feed them what my vet recomends and he says that they keep checking out ok so who knows?

Wow, and here I thought that mine was strange for just fish food. I can't imagine the colorful things you find while cleaning out the litter box.

My cat has never done this, but when my pitbull was still a small pup he got hold of a canister of pond fish food and got his head stuck!!

I have never had any of my cats eat fish flakes; but then I've never had fish. One of my cats eats everything I do and some more that I won't touch...ie bugs. LOL Moths specifically seem to be a special dish for him.

Moths, flies, ladybugs, pretty much anything that they can get away with eating that won't fight back seems to be on both of my cats' menu.
