I have been on mylot now for about a year and after a dial-up imposed sabbatical I am back again only to find that most of my mylot friends haven't made posts or responses, their numbers are unchanged. Do you think they just got bored with it or was it the higher amount of work required to reach payout?

Hi Ljcapps Some of us are still here on and off. Most of us have joined another site as well. Where we seem to have a little more freedom of speech uou could say and can enjoy ourselves without fear of deletion or being banned (within reason) How are you Good to see you

Sassy! How goes it?! So what is this other site you are talking about? Does it still run along the same guidelines as here on mylot? Everything is going ok although Leslie is now working and I am unemployed. But things are ok.

A lot of people have left for various reasons, some "old timers" were banned, some got fed up with certain problems, others just moved on with their lives. The pay did seem o dip really low for a while but is right back to where it was when I started here in February. I've just been making an effort to make lots of nw friends lately to replace those that are gone.

Yeah I had to drop off because of dial-up...AAAHHHHH!!!! Sorry had a moment there. We went from cable internet to dial-up and the wait was just too long. We now connect with our cell phone, much like you would with a laptop. The speed isn't quite as fast as cable but it is probably about five times faster than the nightmare known as dial-up...AAAHHHH!!!!

I only had dial up when I first started here so I know what you mean. It wasn't so bad at first because dial up was all I knew but then I started mylotting here with DSL and hated going back to my dial up. Now I'm here all the time and don't ever want to do dial up again.

Well I do miss most of them here, I guess some of them left because there was a time here where lots of deletions in posts occured that most of them lost interests in participating. Some has disappered and vanished into thin air, maybe they are busy with their personal lives as they have chosen to leave for a while. But there are others like you, who have returned and started being active again. Lots of things changed here, but don't get disappointed with these changes as I have learned how to cope up with it and absorbed everything mylot has to offer!LoL Welcome back, we sure hope that you stay active again here!;)

I know I rarely seem to respond or be on this site...I miss the people..but have been so busy in my real life that I haven't had the time!!! For awhile I was finding it hard to find discussions to respond to...but lately I see some of the more colorful and thought provoking people are active again, and it makes me think that once I get through the holidays I will be back...and hopefully a few times before that!! There is a higher amount of work for way less money..but that was never my issue in signing up for this anyway...

Well I look forward to hearing from you again after the holidays. I just seem to have a lot of spare time on my hands here recently so I figured I would spend some of it mylotting.

Welcome back ljcapps. Nice to see you back. I'm not posting as much as before as it was getting pretty bad with all the deletions, but I still enjoy dropping in regularly. I've just been on a 10 day hunting vacation with hubby and the computer wasn't allowed on the trip, so I've been doing a lot of catching up. :)

Any luck on the hunting trip? I have never had ANY luck when it comes to hunting. In fact I have pretty much given up on hunting for the time being. Were the deletions really getting that bad?

Hubby and a friend of ours both got a deer opening day but it was pretty quiet after that. Luckily it got cool enough in the evenings so we were able to enjoy chatting around the camp fire. The deletions were getting bad. There would be times that I could only make 3-4 posts each day and saw an increase of 3-4 cents, but my total had stayed the same as the day before apparently due to deleted posts. Luckily I have other options for online earning so I concentrated on some of them to move forward. :) I had dial up a long time ago and didn't like it. I don't think I could give up high speed internet for dialup but it's interesting that you can connect with your cell phone to make it faster. Is it only available thru certain carriers?

Welcome back! Are you sure they still have access to their accounts? I'm back with a slightly differnt name after having my first one blocked because of something I did against the rules. I've been here since April and i still find it busy. I can't keep up with all or even a quarter of the discussions there are. Hope you'll join in too and have fun and maybe you'll find them all again. Hope so!

I am not positive on whether or not they have access still. I just recall having some rather deep conversations with certain members and I don't see them posting anymore.

That could be it too, being bored and not being able to reach payout. I know that we have not been paid like we use to when I started 10-11 months ago. I think also that things in their own lives have taken over so mylot isn't as important to them as it use to be. Who knows with the holidays coming around, they might come back to visit!
