candle or cake?

parties especially birthdays is incomplete without cakes. i'm only confused if what's the correct phrase to use - blow the cake or blow the candle?

I think its blow the candle, obviously when you say blow the cake, what’s left then..? Makes sense… or you can say “blow the candle/s of your cake now.” – if you wanna mention the word cake hehe…

I've always said blow out the candle. I hope that helps! I have a strange family, though. None of us particularly like cake. My daughter's birthday party is this Sunday, and we are going to get one of those great big cookies instead of a cake. I hope candles will still stick in it.

i haven't tried cookies as a substitute for cake. I don't know if the kids will like it. Anyway we don't have big cookies here in our country, unless maybe i will make it myself - which i don't how. lol. happy birthday to your daugther and hope she'll like the cookie to blow the candle on it.
