This is my first post since I last posted like 5 months ago...I've busy moving to my new house with my wife...certainly lots of stuff to be carried. Now that I just mentioned I bought new house...of course it is under mortgage. With the recent interest rate rises...I am now worried that I might not be able to make monthly repayments. Put it this way that if the interest keep rising then certainly it might be the end of my dream of buying my first ever house. Oh wait, I need to think something positive that I will not easily given up the house just like that. Certainly in meeting the rising costs of mortgage I have to sacrifice something. I've cut down the electricity usage and yet I have another worry that is how much that I am going to paid when electricity bill comes. I've been hit with lots of expenses...I can count that 75%-80% of my monthly salary has been used to pay the mortgage and car loan. I still yet to finish of the personal loan...hopefully that will be paid off next year. The list goes on... I began to wonder that everyday there is something that I worry. We don't have kids yet so I think I have much less worries that those who have kids. How do you cope your worries? Did you sometimes consult with a close relatives of yours or even your best friends? Life is not always smooth, but always there are troubles ahead. It's just up to all of us how to tackle the problem and put the worries away in smart ways. So my friends, can you please share your worries. I understand that some of you may not able to share it just because of something too personal that you don't want someone else to know. It's ok by me and I don't expect anyone to tell. Thanks for taking your time to share. Cheers! :)

Hi! I saw this discussion almost as soon as you posted it. I was tempted to reply but then I waited. You know why? Because I come here to forget my worries! I can understand ompletely yuor worries regarding your recent financial ventures as I went through something terribly similar just over eighteen months to go. I was halfway through a fifteen year mortgage on my flat when I lost my job. After a year I put it up for sale but it took ten months to get a buyer and during that time I got behind with my repayments ...... A year ago I sold and am now in rented premises as the job situation is not stable enough for me to attempt buying again. If I lose my job again? If my landlord wants the flat etc. etc.... As I said at the beginning when I'm here all these things take second place so that's why I didn't reply sooner. I had hoped domeone else would have done. I wish you luck and hope the future will be different from what it would appear to be if we listen to all the bad news regarding interest rates and the like. Nothing can change that even if we do worry so at least when you are here forget your problems because they will still be there when you go back to them and they won't alter one way or another if even if you do worry about them. Take care!

I've been staying just 3 months in my new house now, really I should not be worried on this monthly repayment. I have to survive regardless of the situation, because my father adviced me that buying a house is never going to be a bad decision. It's really up to me now on how to save the costs to keep mortgage going. I am sorry to hear your situation but I hope things will get better around you as well and good luck in everything. I hope you can a new house again soon. Take care you too :)
