So, I was a current student at a university and my new roommate, of 5 days, moves in and is a professor at the very same university. I was in my last semester (and two years older than normal college graduates) and he was a newer ( in his 3rd year teaching) of freshman courses. So, I obviously, never saw him within classroom settings and he was totally not my type. But to my amazement I was totally attracted to him. Do you suppose this could've been because of the professor thing.... I have thought about it and think it quite possibly could be. It IS possible to fall for a person's "persona" versus their physical being. Of course, I found this to be sort of shallow at first, but oh well. It happens. We enjoyed great times together that I have not experienced with other people... english professor. So, you can imagine the simple, sweet things that wooed me. lol

Hi Ophelia, I know all too well what you mean about falling for someone just by character alone. Ive noticed I put that on my list of wants out of a guy, if Im merely attracted to his appearance only, then I know he is just to be observed from afar, it wouldnt work. So lucky for me, looks seem to come along with character, I just didnt notice so much. lol Sounds like you had a great roommate! ;o) Bay Lay Gray xx

Proximity to a person always brings in likeness or dislike as the case may be. In your case, the proximity together with good conversation has brought you closer. Secondly, there is also saying FAMILIARITY BREEDS CONTEMPT. The more closer one goes, one will be able to understand the idiosyncracies, weaknesses, shortcomings, the good and bad of a person. Depending on how to much good and how much bad a person has, the relationships are developed. There are some people who like and love a person due to infatuation. Sometimes one like a person for a certain characteristics or qualities, but they are disillusioned when it turns out to be a non-realistic. I cannot conclude on this because it is a vast subject.

You could. Give it time. May no be permanent OR you won't get over him unless you do something bout it.
