i hate filling out job apps because i come up to the question have u ever been convicted of a felony? i say no to the question all the time. i am not a felon but at all the job interviews they call me a liar. they said they did a check on me and found a felony well thats news to me i have looked on the internet and searched my history through the court system i have found nothing that proves i am a felon. I talked to the cops probation and parole i have went to the courthouse they cant find anything either whats happening here why the lie? what can be done about it i have been excluded from a lot of well paying jobs i have no diploma so i have been forced to live on a disability check i cant live on that i am bipolar but its under control with medications. i also have a problem with anger and other people who get on my nerves. i can come very violent and abusive. but after been turned down for many positions because of this lie i am tired of trying what do u think

If that happens, I would ask them to show you the background report so you will know what felony is showing up on your record, when and where it happened, so you can get it straightened out. If you did not commit a felony, and it is on your record for some reason, you need to clear that up so it doesn't hold you back for the rest of your life. The best way to start is to know the information the employer has.
