Do YOU buy YOUR animals PRESENTS?

weiner dogs - Oscar the weiner dog

I just wondered how many pet owners out there included their pets on their Christmas shopping lists. I know I sure do! I have several animals, and they all get something for Christmas. I even have a 4ft tree for my animals specifically. LOL I know I am a little extreme...but it is cute. It has some clay doggie bones for ornaments, little fishes for the cats, and some lights. So share with me your gift ideas...and something about yout pet(s). I have 5 cats outside, that I am trying to find homes for. But in the meantime they are mine. I have two hamsters, a guinue pig, a hermit crab, and a weiner dog named Oscar. He is my baby. He will be 2 in April. He always brings a smile to my face no matter what kind of day I am having.

I don't only buy my pets gifts but I also got gifts for other people's pets as well. If you love your pet why not get him/her a present. some people tell me that I am crazy, but I brought my sweetie (Maltipoo) finger nail poil and I painted her nail myself. It was fun and it matched her outfit. I am thinking about getting a stroller for my aunt for her little bundle of joy (tea cup poodle). My daughter got my sister's bird some yummy treats from Petsmart.

All very good ideas. I get this catalog called GW Little. I believe they also have a web site, but it is all clothing and accessories for small dogs. Thanks for the response.

My family always gets our pets Christmas presents, usually just toys and special bones for the dogs. Our animals are definitely members of the family!=)

Gee you certainly are an animal lover, so cool, I only have a cat and I can't help buying things for him but he never likes them, I bought one of those cat towers after seeing how much a friends cats theirs, my cat wouldn't even touch it then I bought a nice padded bed for him but you guessed it won't use it, so I stick with buying him food...

I have not been known to buy presents for my pets on the holidays... The dog won't know it's christmas, though I've had some folks argue with me on this.. Why bother? Give it some table scraps and send it on it's way. You'll be out less money and it will be just as happy.

I think it is just fun, and to have pictures of the pets with the rest of the family joining in on the holiday fun!

I have a cat, Max, a hamster, Guinness, a snake, Cyril and a husband!!!! I have mice too but for the purpose of feeding the snake. I intend to buy them all presents and it drives my husband up the wall, apparently, I spoil them too much. I bought my hamster a toilet from Ebay and it's the cutest thing in the world. Maybe that is taking it too far though......Lol!

i don't personally buy "presents" for my animals but there are times when i'll give them a little treat or something. I know someone who cooks a whole turkey for just their cats on Thanksgiving (a little crazy, i gotta admit, but still cute).

A whole turkey would be a bit extreme, even for me. LOL

When I had cats I would get them a stocking from Petsmart that had some toys and treats in it. I don't have pets anymore though. I think it is important to include them in the festivities even if you just buy your dog a box of milkbones and wrap it up for him.

Hey Jen, you know me and how much I love my cats, so of course they get presents. I have really come to like my sons dog too, and have found myself buying her gifts too. I don't only buy them gifts for holidays, I am always looking to see what new toy/treat they have added to the clearance aisle..lol. Send me a picture of that tree, since I have not been over to see it yet. I would love to see it. I bet it is cute. Well love ya girl, hugs to ya.
