Doesn't make any sense why a lot of these discussions are deleted.

I personally don't understand why in the world some of mine and others discussions are being deleted unless there are some hateful people out there really trying to get at others and getting them deleted. I just can't see though how mylot would approve that unless reviewing the discussion first. I logged in this morning and found about 5 discussions deleted again! Now I can barely understand why one might be deleted, it was just a discussion on a new site to help others promote their business/sites and told them to go to my profile and click on my blog to find the link there, and absolutely no one posted any referral links up and I only had 3 responses. Other discussions deleted were just poems about relationships, just clean funny ones. Nothing in any matter that should be deleted. Than I go and see all kinds of discussions up on make extra money that I honestly think should be deleted. Who else is upset or not understanding all this? I really think some of that is unfair, and I'm not bashing Mylot here in any way, I just don't understand the whole process any more of why they are deleting some discussions? Can one persons complaints really get a discussion deleted? Any knowledge of this or experience is very helpful. Thanks for stopping by:)

I have been in the same way as you have been. myLot has a ver strict rules. Should your discussion violates their guidelines, the discussion will be able to be deleted. It makes myLot admin to delete it faster if member rates the discussion as "!". Regarding to the discussion that you found suppose to be deleted in the making extra money topic, the discussion will be deleted soon right after myLot admin found it. It makes us very fade up sometimes but please remmember, myLot is owned by someone else and not me nor you. We are here to make some money or exchange our knowledges and ideas. It just like you went to a party to a house that a friend of yours brings you along. So the owner of the house/party will decide whether you have done something wrong or not. Remmember, their action are unquestionable, they have the rights. I guess i am right here, correct me if i am wrong. thanks in advance.

Hello ufo_thexfiles. You are right in your point about mylot having the right to make the decisions if we've done something wrong to delete discussions but I don't believe I've done anything wrong. If we are supposed to be here like you said to exchange our knowledges and ideas and doing it in a positive manner than the discussion should not be deleted. I'll most likely have to e-mail mylot about it to better understand why it's happening. Because if it is just from one person rating the discussion "!" it's not right, I would think mylot would be able to see if it's done for the right reasons before deleting a persons discussions and not just because someone's doing it to be mean. Thanks:)

I agree with you Jimonthebeach, we should atleast be warned first before getting a discussion deleted, especially if it's happening more than once. I think I've tried to be careful here on mylot following the rules, I'm thinking someone's upset with me about something but I'll hopefully get it all figured out soon. By the way, looks like you're doing a great job here on mylot:)

You are right in what you say, but that does not make it right. If you invite someone to your house, as I was invited here, I should at least be advised what I have done wrong if ask to leave, or in this case have a discussion deleated. I am new to this site, and just looking around before I put a lot of effort into it, I am from the US and am not used to things being unquestionable, since I moved from my mothers home 42 years ago.

I think you should ask the admin about this, they are the one's that'll help you in explaining more about your case. As for my experience, I am also losing some points here. Not my own posts, but maybe from those I've responded. There's also some nuissance members here who terrorizes this site, they are roaming around and will pop up by simply commenting other member's legit response then put some irrelevant tags in your discussion that could trigger the mylot moderators to delete it. Just be vigilant, always guard your posts since we have reported some members here whom we found responsible for it but keep on coming back here using different usernames.

Thanks raijin, I will probably be asking mylot pretty soon here, it's really starting to bother me. I've been a member here for quite awile and really have enjoyed my time here I'd like to figure out what's going on before leaving. Which I'm not doing but will if the problem doesn't get resolved.

I don't knwo what is going on here either. I went to answer a few discussions today only to find the discussions deleted and I'm not even sure why. Maybe you can email the mylot Gods to find out why they were deleted!

It's a total mystery to me! I see discussions everyday where the poster includes a referral link and if it's a fairly new member I'll give them a "warning" that they may get deleted but I don't report them if I think it's probably an honest mistake. Yet some never get deleted and others that don't give a link do! All I ask for is some consistency here; if you're not allowed to discuss business opportunities by name at all, so be it, if you're just not allowed to add your referral link that's fine too. Just let us know what is and is NOT allowed. I'd hate to think a few troublemakers could cause good members to get good discussions deleted unjustly but that just might be what's happening. Annie

I don't get it either. So what if someone posts a discussion that someone else might not like. There is no rule that they have to respond to it if they don't like it. I thought this site is just suppose to be fun. If I come across a discussion I don't like I just ignore it and go on to the next one. If someone marks it as an abuse, mylot investigates it and gets rid of it if's it breaks any guidelines. I don't take any of the discussions of response seriously. It doesn't hurt me so why report it as abuse! Now if someone were to be really rude in one of their responses to me, I might then report it, but even then, it would have to be really bad. I'm here just to have some fun and make a little extra money, not abuse anyone.
