how much can be risk giving credit card information to site

Can you tell me what should I provide my confidential information to site for earning or purchasing. I have never done it so far. so internally I think it can be risk to provide any confidential information to site. What steps I hav to taken for take this type of risk.

giving any infomrtion about your credit card is very very risky and it may be misused by someone.my suggestion is to you that never give any informtaion to any body.
