Favorite pie recipes for thanksgiving..

Do u have any favorites.. this will be my first time making a pie and i have no idea how to make them but i would like to make on this year.. any ideas? and recipes?. thanks~

My husband's favorite pie for the holidays is egg nog pie. It is like buttermilk pie but you use egg nog in it instead. I also usually make pumpkin and pecan pie also.

Oh thats way cool! i have never herd of egg nog pie! sounds good though i do like egg nog during the christmas time:)
