Don't always say" yes "to your friend.

I must confess that I was a victim in this little event.i used to believe that my oral english was quite better than most of my classmates. And every time when i had given a speech my friends would spoke highly of me , so this increased my confidence that i was the best one. But, when i took the examination of oral english , i was struck deeply and profoundly. The teacher crticised me that my intonation was rather strange, and encouraged me to do massive imitations. Oh, my god, i had been cheated for so long a time! In fact, i know my friends did that for my good, they didn't want to hurt my confidence. But the truth is truth, sooner or later ,it will be disclosed. the only difference is that the later I know the truth, the deeper i was hurt. so, my friends ,don't always say positive thing to others , maybe we will hurt them someday.

Oh,what you said is very right. I think what we should do to our intimate friends is to help them improve day by day , not just always speak highly of what they have done. And also wo need to distinguish from our "intimate" friends our real friends from whom we may hear something true about our defects. Only from what they told us , we can know ourselves better. By the way , you english must be very well through reading your discussion.
