House season finale?!?!

Channel Ten's ad for tonight's episode of House keeps saying it's the season finale. But it's only the 8th episode of the season. There are 22-24 episodes of House in each season!!!
Do you think this is a mistake or are they actually axing House in Australia? I'm upset because it's my favourite show and it's really great.. I don't understand why they would axe it, I thought it was one of the channel's most popular shows.
What do you all think???

In the United States, we still have more episodes that are already made now. This year there is a chance that there won't be as many episodes as you have mentioned because of the writers strike. One new episode will run after the Super Bowl.
