I am a middle child and I always worry about my parents, siblings and all other areas of my life.. I feel like I'm carrying all the weight in the world. What should I do? I feel like I am going to explode.. I don't know what else to do with it. It's driving me crazy....

I think it's important to realize that a lot of your fears are irrational, especially the irrational ones, and telling yourself that you are not the only person in the world that suffers from these problems helps. Finding ways to stop the anxiety in it's tracks, like breathing exercises and herbal teas may help especially when you feel the anxiety getting ready to rear it's ugly head. Another option, which I recommend along side other choices is to see a psychiatrist. They can prescribe medications when necessary and help get you therapy and any other help you may need to overcome your anxiety.

I will do that, the breathing exercise works for almost on any cases. It gets your mind thinking right in no time. I think my being eccentric and depressive is in part attributed to my illness. But you know, it sure does make perfect sense. It's not the best feeling to when you're worried and burdened. It sucks the life out of you.. I just dont like this feeling... I am taking notice now of things that sets anxious and fearful. I dont want to be like this anymore.I want to overcome.

I think that there are only two options, either you go and see a psychiatrist or you pray. No one should worry that much. It is not healthy to feel this way. You are doing harm to yourself. You won't be around for your family if you keep up this pace.

thanks for your kind suggestions.. I think it's just me, I think too much. But when I think to myself that God is there, I just smile, and I know, I need not worry anymore. It's just been overwhelming lately with the experiences that I have been through... My faith is my only companion. And yes, family is great.. source of strength and hope.

I totally understand where you are coming from, i got my first anxiety attack in typing class about 11 years ago and still have them to this day. You feel as thou you are having a heart attack. I worry about every little thing and it affects my stomach also , I think life can be so hard sometimes and we let it get to us to easily all i can say is take it slow and pray and try to block out the things you cant fix it will all come together in the end. And of course talk to your doctore I take valium when i feel it coming on but i am also on other meds.

hi sugar_brown! ^__^ i'm not really in the middle coz there are four of us but i'm second to the youngest. i worry too about my mother and my siblings but i have learned before to not worry to much because it doesn't do me any good. sometimes, i don't even care. ^__^;; its better that way because they are adults already and they know what's right and what's wrong and it would be better if they learn it by themselves. another thing is that i am a carefree spirit. i am a happy-go-lucky girl and i prefer not to worry about me and let others worry about me. LOL but deep inside i do worry about the future, mine, my mother's and my siblings'. but i tend to think that "everything's going to be alright in the end" and that its better to be optimistic towards life. so what i can say to you is that lighten up girl. ^__^;; everything's going to be alright in the end. forget all your worries and think only about yourself sometimes. i mean, give your mind a day-off once in a while and just relax. its all in the mind and it all depends on it on how you would deal to everything in your surroundings. you just have to have a will power to put aside all your worries and be happy. ^__^

Well depression is common in this busy world..though its bitter fact. So dont take it emotional to heart and try to come out of the past. Please dont give up confidence. Do yoga, you will feel a great heal and confidence. God bless you friend! Things will be better soon, dont give up.

Hello sugar_brown, Well for a young lady in her mid-twenties it is not uncommon to be concerned about family, future, income, self-awareness, maturation, the world around you etc; however, much of this worry may stem from the cultural expectation put on youth in your country. Not saying it is a bad thing but the societal expectation to be much more empathetic than sympathetic (like here in the United States)is so difficult to adopt and even more challenging to dispute. You are in a tough position as a woman who feels emotional fortitude and is loyal to her country's customs WHILE also being a free-spirited young woman ready to take on the world. I have news for you little lady, everything you worry about that you cannot control will work out on its own; everything you worry about that you can control, will be worried about no longer . . . Did I help some, I hope so and have a great morning, afternoon or night? What time is it there? I am at 3:17am. sharing the light and happy holidays, Miss Erica Hidvegi, the Enlightenment_Advisor, B.A. Psych/M.A. Transpersonal Studies- Cnslng/Author, Artist, Photographer, Entrepreneur & Freelance extraordinaire

I know exactly how you feel. I have struggled with the same problems all of my life. I have horrible nightmares every night, usually centered around someone I love leaving me somehow. I am in the process of looking for a doctor to talk to about this. The only advice I can give you it to tell you what I do to try to feel better: I plan what I would do in all the emergency situations that I have so much fear will happen, so I feel prepared. And if I feel a panic attack comeing on I will try to think of something neutral, that I have no emotions towards, like the word "potato". I hope this helps.....or at least lets you know you're not alone.
