At my old school there used to be a lot of controversy over the principal and teachers. There was one principal (who no longer works there) that would hand out suspensions like it was no big deal. I once got suspended for asking a favour and not saying please...the reason? forecull bullying she said. So that makes me wonder.. Has any of you ever been in a situation whent there was a major conflict between you and a certain teacher/principle? Or for the people who have children out there..have you ever had to deal with a situation with an unfair teacher or principal?

Sounds like they are strict. Strict is not good but neither is no rules or few rules.

I think unfortunately some teachers and principals get a little power drunk and treat their students very heavy handed, maybe they think they have to be to keep control...a mind thing maybe, but I also think they just like the power. I always thought most teachers were heavy handed and unfair.

i am a teacher now but even i experienced some uncalled for punishments in my university provided by some power tripping professors. i was once punished to carry a chair on my shoulders in the middle of our field under the sun for an hour just because of my negative opinion on a Shakespeare play which my prof likes too much. of course that was too rough a punishment since it was a literature class and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. moreover it was very humiliating experience for me though i got the sympathy of most students in our school and some kind professors. anyway i still think that though there are some teachers who are the rotten tomatoes in education field, i believe that they are still outnumbered by those whose aim is to educate people especially the youth.just charge it to experience if you'll again encounter another teacher like that. or if needed you could report them to higher departments like department of education or division superintendent.
