the farmer ( repost didnt show last time)

a farmer has a fox a chicken and some chicken feed he has to get each across the lake one at a time if he leaves the fox with the chicken the fox will eat the chicken if he leaves the chicken with the chicken feed the chicken will eat the feed how does he saftly get each across?

first take the chicken go back, grab the fox, take back the chicken grab the food, go back grab the chicken and u're done

I'll use a diagram next to each line for clarity, where C is for chicken, X for fox and F for feed. I'll use o to represent the lake and ! for the farmer. Initiall as follows: !CFX o First take the chicken across the lake. FX o !C When he gets back, take the fox across the lake. F o !XC Then pick up the chicken again and take it back. !CF o X Take the feed across the lake. C o !FX Then take the chicken to the other side. o !CFX
