I know mylot is global. I am just wondering how you guys say hello or how are you in your country. In my case, we say "Kumusta ka?" for How are you. Well, in Spanish (fyi, Spain was one of the countries that invaded us, thus, the influence of Spanish in some of our language), it is "Como es ta?" for How are you and "Hola" for Hello. So how do you say them in your language?

HI I am from India. In India there are several languages. In North India people speak Hindi,Gujrati,Bengali,Tulu,Sanskrit,Urdu etc etc. I am from South India. Here inSouth India we speak languages like tamil, telugu, malayalam, kannadam. I know Tamil and Telugu. So i will tell you the answers in these languages. In Tamil it is eppadi irukinga? for how are you. In Telugu it is yela unnaru? for how are you. aAnd in both languages it is halo only for hello.

In Canada, we say, How are you? or Hello or How do you do? or Hi. It depends on whether it is formal or informal, whether we know them well or know them, but are a little shy. Hi and hello are informal between friends. How are you is for acquaintances, while How do you do is for first contacts, and businesses. I cannot speak French,

It's ok. I hope the discussion has helped you learn hi, hello and how are you in different languages. :)

I only speak three languages fluently, including English; in Italian, you can say 'ciao' for hello or 'salve' for hi. How are you is quite similar to Spanish and some other languages, it's 'come sta'; in Greek, hello is either 'yassou' or 'yassas', depending on whether you're speaking to one person, or an authority figure etc, and how are you is either 'ti-kanis' or 'bos buyas' - although this is Cypriot Greek, which varies a bit from mainland Greek.
