I am all for recycling. I try to do as much as I can. One of the things I do is redo baby clothes by adding embelishments. They are called reborn clothes and they come out really pretty. I will add a photo of one of the reborn dresses I did. People buy them for their life-like reborn dolls. They come with a magnetic pacifier, magnetic barette, and matching socks.

When our clothes are all ruined or badly stained, I put them in the craft bag. I'm hoping to start making teddy bears from recycled materials. Yep, even the towels and tea towels aren't escaping. Just gotta get a sewing machine and some patterns now!

What I do is dye my clothes. When the color is starting to fade too much I just dye them. Then they look brand new again. I usually dye them a different color so I feel like I have new clothes. I got this idea from my daughter. She dyes her clothes every three top four months and then feels like she has a new wardrobe all the time. It is very easy to dye your clothes. You can dye them right in the washing machine. The instructions are on the back of the box of dye. They are really cheap to buy, at $1.77 at Walmart. One box will dye about 3 items at a time. I leave my clothes in the dye about twice the amount of time the package instructions say, so they get the color more. Try it, you'll be surprised how new your clothes look.
