In India, we celebrate the onset of the seventh month in a pregnant woman. She is dressed in beautiful clothes and jewellery, and made to sit. Seven women who are mothers will put seven types of grains in her lap with a big sweet cone shaped sweetmeat. It is function with flowers, fruits and food. It is done with pomp and style and then everyone blesses the mother to be for a healthy baby. Gifts galore and lots of singing and dancing. Do you all have similar customs.

That sounds real nice. Why the seventh month if you don't mind me asking? Here in America, we have a baby shower and give the new baby gifts and what not. But seems like what you do in India is a celebration of the pregnant woman. I like that.
