Does anyone know the backstory to the Sean Taylor (Was. Redkins) shooting?

I've heard that his house was broken into last week and a machete left on his bed? I also heard someone saying he pistol whipped someone for some issue about his SUV, and that this vehicle was then shot up later?
My first instinct says this might have been a jealous ex? If he was shot in the groin on purpose that would be my first suspect. But the more I hear about this story the more I think this wasn't a robbery, but more someone getting revenge for something.

When this first happened, my first thought was that it was someone from the group of "bad boys" he used to hang out with. Now we know, this very unfortunate incident was a robbery that went very, very wrong.
Sean was turning his life around and becoming a better man. I feel for his family and friends and hope he has found peace.
