i wish i could teleport wherever i wanted, don't you? Does anyone know if they can do this yet...not with people, but with objects? if its still science fiction, i trust that it will become very real someday... or i hope so... think of how much we could cut back on the use of fuels, and time spent sitting in traffic, and little things... it's gonna happen!! heheheh any feedback?

The teleportation of human beings is very difficult from the knowledge and technique we have right now. Unless some breakthrough in that knowledge occurs in the form of some extraordinary theory or some observation, it cannot be expected in more than few hundred years, if at all. Actually, I am a physics major, so from my knowledge, currently, researchers have been able to teleport photons and some other elementary particles. The principle here is to transmit all the information ot a particle from one place to another by some technique, and recreating the same particle at the other end through that information. However, the original particle is destroyed. So, it looks far from possible for living creature at present, althouth as we say, nothing is impossible, who knows.

I'm a bit bothered by the concept. It seems to me that to teleport you have to take apart the person and then reassemble them on the other end- who's to say its still you on the other side? Plus, the most efficient way to do it woud be to record info on this side then send just the info, destroying your matter, and then using other matter on the other side to reconstruct you- do you die? Is the you that arrives the you that left? Itrs bothersome.

interesting... i haven't thought of it that way before.... I guess i just always assumed it'd be like the video games, heheh. I think as long as the matter isn't destroyed we will be okay... I know it will take many many years of experimentation for this to happen safely though.

I believe teleportation is one of the most beautiful dreams of humanity at the moment. and if any method to do it will be discovered, it will revolutionize the world in every posible way. and most of all I am convinced that it will also cause a revolutionary discovery in cuantic physics ( I just feel that). :)

one major thing it will do it save alot of oil. Instead of driving to the store we could just teleport there.

It doesn't exist yet and i doubt it will exist for at least a hundred years. I wish it did, but so far the only time i've teleported is in video games. I'm sure there are scientists looking into making it happen, and maybe they are closer to conpleting it then i know, and they are keeping it a secret because it is for the military. I know for a fact that they have an invisibility cloak in progress. It bends light so that when people look at it they just see what is behind it. I heard people talking about it on the radio.

I would love to have that power!Would save me alot on gas, since my dad lives 1,000 miles away.Have you ever watched Criss Angel? If anyone can truly teleport he would be him. Most of the tricks I can spot but not that one.Pretty amazing stuff.

Yeah that would be cool! I hope science can make a teleportation device that can work on space. I think it's the fastest way to go to the other galaxies in this universe. A portal in every planet will make the transportaion of million light years into one second destination. Don't you think it's cool?
