Do people at dating websites really use their real picture?

If you were using an online dating website would you be offended if you found out that your online sweetheart had lied about the way he or she looked? Would you be disappointed if you found out that they had used another person's picture on their profile?

Hello dear beauty queen. If I happened to find out that my sweetheart was using another one's picture, I don't think that I would be disappointed at it. I would think that it was out of protection that she had used it, but of course, I would like to ask her to see if my imagination was right. Besides, there was no need for me to get upset for this if she were really loving me with her heart wholeheartedly. Thanks for your discussion, dear friend. Good day.

I would definately be upset and disappointed if they lied about how they looked or posted a fake picture. I don't think that I'd be offended, though. I wouldn't be upset because they didn't look the way I thought they did, as looks are truly pointless, but rather because they lied to me. A relationship can't survive without honesty and it's an awful way to start one. I would rather not know what someone looked like than have them lie to me about it.

Some due, some don't. Different people have different motives and scruples. I know I always used/use my real picture, I don't really see why not. My fiance used his real pictures, too.

Of course i would be disappointed to have found out that my online sweetheart ahd posted someone else's picture but for me to avoid being in that situation i'll make sure to use a webcam everytime we are online. I know for a fact that there are many not so trustworthy personalities in the internet and the only way to know them better is seeing them live while conversing. Of course prior to joining these online dating sites i would have conditioned myself on the remote possibility of finding an honest and true person so in the event of coming across a liar sweetheart it won't really dishearten me that much. I believe that's the reality of dating online and i will only enjoy the experience.
