Scholarships?

Does anyone know if there's any kind of scholarships for students from abroad, that want to study for some time in Italy? It has been my dream since I was little, to go and study there, just like my dad did. A friend of mine, has relatives living there so he's going to study for a whole year in Rome! He told me that there's several scholarships and exchange programs I could get into and finally visit Italy. Do you know any?
