use babay detergent in the gentle cycle of your washing machine. Dry fla; remove pilling with a fabric comb. TIP: do not dry clean. the harsh chemicals break down cashmere's delicate fibers.

My girlfriend just got 2 cashmere sweaters. We have a crappy washer though. Is it really safe to wash them in it or should we hand wash them?

Well I think you better do the handwashing if you got that crappy washer. Don't you know that cashmeres are considered a high quality fibers? It is also important not to wring or twist it, doing this will stretch the cashmere out of shape. Just simply press the excess water from the garment. I hope this will help: HAppy posting!

I know they're expensive that's why we haven't washed them yet. I guess we will hand wash and thanks for the no wringing tip I wouldn't have thought of that. Have a happy holiday season.

Oh is it ok to put cashmere in the washing machine, I would have thought it was one of the most delicate things there is, I don't actually have cashmere any more I wasn't even sure it was still around...

yes it is but be careful to put the washer in a very low mode. Cashmere is a very sensitive fabric. Well, pilling, or the little balls that get into sweaters are some nasty views when you don't take care of your cashmeres. But it is easy to remove, just cut it: Happy posting
