Americans today are eating five times more fresh spinach than we did in the 1970s, government figures shows. USDA researchers credit the wide availability of sweeter baby spinach, triple-washed, in plastic bags at the grocery store. Whatever the reason, nutritionist are cheering, since spinach is one of nature's highest nutrient dense superfoods, low calories and abundant in vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals.....hmmmmm, but my body still looks like olive oil: LOL
