We all know that wedding is not something anyone can afford as it is an occasion that requires lots of money. Anyway, i just want to know the amount you are willing to spend for your wedding day. A lot of people are willing to spend as much as they can as it is truly a once in a lifetime event. However, I sometimes look at it as something impractical. What do you think?

Hi there, I got married back in 2000 and I can tell you that compared to a lot of weddings, my wedding was about as cheap as you can get without being completely naff. I got my wedding dress (Laura Ashley) from a charity shop for £8.50, My husband already had the suit he wore, The license cost £60, The wedding Reception cost £350 and the one night we could have as a honeymoon (we had his 7 kids and my daughter so no big honeymoon there) cost us £120 so in total my wedding cost me £538.50 or just over $1000. I guess I settled for a cheaper wedding than most women would because I wasn't bothered about all the trappings as long as I got the ring on his finger and none of the relatives tried to kill each other lol. I would say it all depends on the woman, If you're like me then you don't mind barely spending anything and still have fun because it's all about you anyways or you can go the whole hog and spend thousands upon thousands and get the picture perfect princess wedding you always wanted. It's entirely up to you!

My budget is $10,000USD, which is pretty cheap since the average wedding costs about $26,000USD these days. I'm having to cut back on a LOT of things. It's depressing, but I just don't have the money.

Am planning to wed next year and honestly we are not planining to spend extravagantly. We are planing to spend atmost 1000 dollars in all the expenses including rings. I know it is a once in a lifetime event but i cant go to the extreme to make it good. We are making it private and only tea and snacks will be served. Even the 1000 dollars am talking about we dont have it at hand. Fiancee and I dont want to strain our parents for something like that. Hope everybody understands cause we have a life to live after the wedding, kids will be on the way also.
