So I was talking about names today, as I do a lot at my job since we come across a lot of odd ones. Somehow I remembered I knew a guy named Island Styles which I think is the coolest name ever. From there I somehow got talking about name meanings. And I was like... If my last name was LaBeouf (It's not stalkers!)... my name meanings would literally mean: LAMB & BEEF! This cracked me up. My first name means Lamb so if my last name was LaBeouf, which means Beef... it'd be lamb and beef! Have you ever looked at the meanings of your name and found any fun meanings like Lamb and Beef? or combinations of name meanings that could be as fun as Lamb and Beef!? It's snowing and I'm at work. Entertain me.

I once worked with a French guy named Guillaume L'Oiseau, which is a fine name, but I couldn't help translating it in my mind to 'Bill the Bird'. (Apologies to Guillaume if he ever reads this).

Ha ha. Bill The Bird is a good one! Yeah, Like I said in the comment above Loosley translated Shia's whole name means: A gift from God; The Ruler of Beef. That's just great! I translated my whole name but it's nowhere near as interesting!

Yes, Shia LaBeouf has an unusual name, doesn't he? A Muslim first name and a French surname? Then I guess your surname is nothing like, 'Chop' or 'Kebab'? Haha.

Ha ha No. I'm Irish so I have a very Irish surname. Shia is Jewish because his mom was Jewish so that explains his first name which is also Hebrew. His middle name is Saide. But his dad was cajun (it's in wikipedia, I'm not that stalkerish) so that's I guess why he's got that last name. I do love his name though. Mine is alright. I love my Irish last name but my first and middle names are just alright!

Oh My!! That is funny!! My last name now is pretty self explanatory and my maiden name means bailiff. I haven't found anything quite as unusual as yours LOL.

Ha ha. Well I'd only be lamb and beef if my last name were LaBeouf! Baliff is an interesting meaning. if it were my last name I'd be the baliff of lambs :p

I can't think of any funny name meanings but I met a woman who named her boy/girl twins Cole and Diamomd! My kids' name meanings all make some sense but in an interesting way not a haha funny way...but with 6 of them I'd have to find the book and look them up before I could share them!

Cole and Diamond are pretty good! ha ha. We find a lot of interesting names at my job. There's someone whose first name is Yesterday and Middle name is Morning. Crazy! I love name Translations. My cat's name is Reggie Cat... so basically Reginald which means King and fits him well!

First of all, I'm jealous that you are getting snow!:P Second, Island Styles has to be the greatest name ever. That is so cool. Lamb & Beef is hilarious! I wonder what my name means. I know what my name means religiously, but not just as a name, ya know? This isn't really about name meanings, but my friend with the He-Man obsessed husband wants to name their son Lazarus Cain. I'm not sure what I think about it really. It kinda sounds like an 80s metal band.

I forgot about these names! Michael's aunt is a teacher and she had twin girls in her class. Their names were Lemonjello and Orangjello. Like, Lee-Mon-Jell-O. Weird.

OMG. Wait. There are two Lemonjellos in the world!? My boss knows someone who craved Lemon Jello while she was pregnant so she named her daughter Lemonjello! That's so sad. Lazarus Cain sounds like a metal band or someone who is going to be a notorious serial killer. I'm not jealous of myself for snow. I never get to enjoy it sadly. I had to keep shoveling it off my stairs and car so I wouldn't have to do it this morning before work. How fun is that :(
