I am a 27 years old female wanting to join the Reserves. I think I have it down to two branches the Air Force Reserve and the Navy Reserve. I want to get some input on this subject. If anyone has any suggestions or past experiences please help me out.

To be honest with you, right now is not the time to join the reserves. I say this because the reserves and the national guard are the first people that are called onto active duty. With the state of the military today, I wouldn't advise you to go in just now. Maybe later on and you still have a couple years before you reach the max age to join. I would study long and hard on this subject hun, because I wouldn't want you to join and end up shipped off to Iraq or somewhere of that nature right after you finish your training. I was military for a total of 10 years, and I admire you for wanting to go in as well, but as I said before, be careful in your thinking and make sure this is what you really want to do with your life. If you have any questions you'd like to ask me, feel free to send me a private message and I will do my best to help you in any way that I can. Take care!! Taz

That's beautiful, we all have our ways to serve the country, hope you found yours and be happy with it. The Air Force and Navy are similar to one another, the reservist are support personnel that usually is not very involved in the battle. The two operates airplanes and ships (air force carriers). Maybe you just need to go to their offices and see what they are offering you in exchange. All the best for you.
