I think Scott went to jail for throwing a bottle at his gf but he's probably out of jail by now.

It is sad to know this really great group is no longer together. Scott had many problems back in '94. I have not heard anything about the group since. It would be nice to know how they are all coming along in life.

Creed broke up at the end of 1994. It was a while in coming. Their lead singer (Scott Stapp) has always been a bit unstable and he managed to tear the band apart during their last tour. The remaining members did the responsible thing: they fired Stapp and disbanded. About six months later they resurfaced as the band Alter Bridge with a new lead singer (Myles Kennedy) and their original bass player, Brian Marshall. Stapp had fired Marshall in 2001 for personal reasons and left the band without a permanent bass player for almost three years. Alter Bridge just put out their second CD back in October.
