Dry,cracking heels

Just wondering if anyone has found a good product to treat cracking heels? I get cracks frequently and none of the lotions, including foot lotions do much for them. If I forget lotion for more than a couple of days I get deep painful cracks. I live in a dry climate, but had them even before I moved to this area. Mom had them, too, so I guess they may be something I inherited from her. I try to drink lots of water, which helps some, and have been checked for diabetes but don't have that fortunately. Anyway, just hoping someone has found a good solution as they can make it uncomfortable to lie down at night even when they haven't gotten very severe.

Try something called Aquaphor by Eucerin. That stuff is amazing. It's very thick. I use it for everything. My son gets severely chapped lips. He chaps around his mouth and it edges down towards his chin. I used Aquaphor on him one night, and he he woke up the next day, it was more than half healed. I used it the next night, and he was healed the next day. It's a little more expensive than lotion, but it's well worth it.

Wonderful! I'll keep an eye out for it next time I go shopping. It sounds like it will help. The only thing I found that worked at all well up to now was a body butter that came in a gift basket, so I had no way to find it again.

I did find the stuff and it does help, but it's fairly pricey and appears to be based on petroleum jelly. I also was given a lotion called "Udderly Smooth", which is a made-for-humans version of the stuff dairy farmers use on cow udders. It works really well too, and is not greasy feeling. Instead it just feels full of moisture.
