Typing in Tags???

Does entering some tags eventually increase your earnings, rating, etc., at all? I know we don't get paid solely for doing it, but does mylot like it and eventually increase our $$ per post or something? I know it's useful, and I try to tag everything I ask or answer, but sometimes I just can't think of any good keywords that aren't already taken!

I do not think that adding tags would increase your earnings. based on my experience, with or without the tags, you would still earn the same. I think the tags are only useful if you are searching for a post based on specific tag or many posts of the same tag.

i think so...i mean, i never thought of this, but i was confused why my earnings don't increase so fast...now that you posted this, it made me realize that maybe it is because i don't usually type the tags...

Most times I do not add tags. Though a couple of megadebate discussions I'll throw in some suitable tags so I'm no longer nagged by it anytime I go back to respond. You don't earn money for adding tags. Also, some people abuse the tags as a part of their overall vandalism.

Lol! I don't know if tags increase earnng potential, but I tend to type in tages whether they have been taken or not, it's just a habit now I guess! I think tags are a good way to pinpoint certain discussions about certain topics. I initially looked for "make money online" when I first started on MyLot and the fact that the discussions were tagged helped me immensely!

Tags do not increase your earnings. It says so in the FAQs. It just organizes myLot and allows other users to find discussions easier. I always try to put tags on discussions, espeically if there are none or if the number tagger has been at it again. Some person goes around myLot and puts all numbers in tags.
