safe onling shopping sites

i havent really tried shopping online because of the risk that other people might use my card number. what sites can you guys recommend to be safe online shopping sites? the ones that would really protect your credit card..? thanks so much!

i don't know which country are you in, but one thing that i'm sure is that when go shopping online you should choose those sites that keep a good record, i recommand you e-bay.com, amazon.com and sites like these. You can use PayPal to protect your credit card.
speaking of myself, i'm chinese so i won't go to foreign sites that often so i choose a chinese site taobao.com i bought almost everything there. And i enjoyed shopping there so far and my credit card is well protected by this site.
