Does it seem like you will never get ahead?

I know exactly where you are coming from. The first year of our marriage my husband and I were HORRIBLE with money. We actually lived like we had money when in fact we didn't. We've been paying for it ever since. We joined a bill consolidation program that not only gave us lower interest rates on the credit cards and loans that we had it also forced us to cut up all of our other credit cards. We couldn't be in the program and continue to increase our debt. We've been in the program about 3 or 4 years now and we figured out that by next Feb. we'll have paid off around $25,000 worth of debt. There have been bleak times and there will still be students loans to pay, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Be wise and perhaps find a debt consolidation program that can help you.
