I have lately been developing very frizzy hair, and itchy scalp. It's stress-induced. However, I have taken to pulling out my hair, particularly when I am reading something. Do you think those frizzy hairs will not grow again? Will my hair regenerate even if I pull them out? thanks...

I feel it is bad. My wife has such habits. By doing so you are removing the roots and tomorrow one becomes bald soon. It is better to nurse the hair with nutrients like some herbal oil or coconut before taking bath. Applying chemical oriented shampoos is even bad. This is my opinion and experience.

Thank you, too, for the tips. But I must say that everyone has been very kind to share their own ideas and advice. Merry Christmas and all the best for the coming year!

I think you are very right, ssh123. I read somewhere that the bubbling in shampoo is the same ingredient used in washing cars (or was it garages?). Anyway, they say they have no choice; without it, you don't get the very nice bubbles. Agggh!

Oh, I did just that yesterday. It is going to take a while, but the massage and all did great wonders for me. I'm going back in a while for the eyebrow trimming and to buy one of those jars of hairspa treatments so I can have a hairspa and pay labor cost only. cheers!

You really shouldn't pull it out. It can create baldness issues where it doesn't grow back properly. Is the pulling it out part of the stress? There's a medical condition where people pull out their hair because of stress or depression. Perhaps you should go to the doctor if you're suffering this badly. Stress can be a killer. Maybe counselling would help you.

Yes, it gets very frizzy and very itchy. Those I pulled out were so brittle and easy to pull out. It has become a habit while studying or doing something passive. I think my hair has significantly thinned out in the last 2 weeks!

well, I can't do that otherwise I'd have no hair left haha. well, i don't think it's bad per se to pull out a few strands of hair that don't grow well. and I'm sure your hair will regenerate even if you pull them out. scientifically speaking, one drops about a hundred hairs a day or something, and this is normal.

sunset - Sunset over the Philippines' Baguio City
Yes, read somewhere about normal hair fallout. The frizzy ones I love to pull feel itchy at the roots and actually come off quite easily. If I feel pain upon pulling, I back off. Soon I might be posting my balding patch! hahaha! That will be sunset for me... even if I got a PhD!
