What its the best videogame to buy for a gift to my 13 years old brother?

I'm going to buy a video game to my brother for Christmas but I don't know what's the best, I don't want a violence game, but neither a kids game, can you help me with your advice?

the last time I was in a video game store (like 3 years ago), I asked the nice salesman if he had any nice friendly non violent games, he just laughed at me
that dance pad game is the only one
