Lying on mylot or other forums

As we're all, to an extent, anonymous people on this board, pretty much anything we say about our lives can be a lie because it's not like anyone can check up on it and if they do, that's a bit weird. 1. Have you ever lied on a message board (not necessarily mylot)? 2. Do you sometimes get the impression what you're reading is a lie (not necessarily mylot)?

Because people are anonymous it is easier to lie. I have from time to time gotten the impression that a poster in a forum was fabricating something. For myself I am participating in forums to have fun, to learn a lot about many things and to make some cyber friends. I don't see the need to lie and I don't.
