My Clunker of a TV

I sit here in my bedroom half watching one of my favorite programs on my old clunker of a TV. There are no blue tones left in it; the remote control went out a couple of months ago; and all it really needs now is a decent burial. This TV brings out the worst in me every time I try to watch something on it. I am trying with all my might to wait until after the new year to get a new one, but it is really trying my patience. Have you ever owned a TV that made you so mad you just wanted to toss it out of a window?

LOL good thing New Year is just around the corner! you won't have to lose your patience every time you watch a show. ^__^;; my current tv in my room is also sick. everytime i open it, it would behave like a Christmas light for at least half an hour! it would turn itself off, turn itself on, again and again until it would finally decide to stay on! and not only that, it would scan for channels all by itself! and i couldn't stop it using the remote control because the remote wouldn't work while the tv is behaving crazy like that. the remote would work only after the tv became stable. ^__^;; most of the time i really lose my patience and i would throw the remote and just turn off the tv. sometimes i would let it be until it decides to behave. ^__^;; i'm not thinking of buying a new one because.. i just haven't considered it. all i can think of right now is, and i'm torn between the two, is a dvd-writer combo and a digital camera. ^__^

Maybe Santa Claus will bring you a new TV, secretbear. There's no better time to ask for one.

They certainly don't build them like they used to, gabs! My bedroom TV is on almost constantly throughout the day, but the one in the living room doesn't get nearly as much action, lol.

Naw. If I lost my TV, it wouldn't matter too much. I had one that still worked from 1983, but got rid of it a few years ago. Tossing it out the window might be the best thing you can do for yourself.

Unless one of my favorite shows is on, sigma, it's just talking anyway.

Well thankfully I just don't watch that much TV anymore. I no longer have cable..sniffle, sniffle, so it's kind of boring to watch anyway without it, and due to my dinky antennae, I only get one station on fairly clear but at least I can get my daily Oprah fix. So I resort to just putting on my DVD movies. I would LOVE to be able to afford a nice widescreen TV, but there again without cable would be kind of dumb. So I'm fairly content with my 13" TV. If I'm really desperate though, I can watch some of the reruns of ABC shows on my computer, which has a 17" monitor

I found this site where you can watch many shows, pyewacket, but I will have to search out the name for you. I have a 27" in the living room, but I am usually in my bedroom because that's where all my stuff is.
