Do you use another email account for a different purposes?

Would it help to use a different or another email account dedicated for other online activities aside from your personal use? Although spamming cannot be avoided, can a different account prevent your personal info from phishing?

I don't know about your phishing question. I currently use 4 different email addresses though, two through aol and two through gmail. I keep one of them for personal use only. I hate signing to see 700 spam emails. I have no problems keeping up with all of them though.
