I recently came across accusations that most ht tamil films are remakes of films from other languages, that most talented artistes originally belong to other languages, that many ht songs and comedy have been copied from other languages. This argument was supported with sever instances. To name a few, the following films are remakes. Chandramukhi, Muthu, Kaadhalukku Mariyaadhai, Friends,Budget Padmanabhan, (severl of Prabhu's and Pandiyarejan's movies) to name a few. Following this were the argment that severl hit comedy scenes including many in M. Kumaran were copied from Hindi and MAlayalam movies. There have also been reports of songs from English,Hindi and French being copied by the tamil music directors. I have always felt that tamil cinema has entertained huge audiences and as long as that happens, there is nothing wrong. What's your stand on this? Thanks
