Do you think that marriages are made in heaven?

"Marriages are made in heaven" The words sound wonderful; but, are they true? I think it depends on whether there is a heaven. I guess these words imply that God Himself arranged your marriage before you took birth, and therefore, you have to respect the bond. You have absolutely no right to break it. Hmm, well, God made us too, and we are all supposed to be sinners, imperfect. Logically speaking, it turns out that a marriage, arranged by God, has to be as imperfect as the human beings He has created. And therefore, imperfect marriages need not always work, just as imperfect human beings need not always function perfectly. My "logic" ends here. I leave it to you. What do you think? Are marriages made in heaven? Or have they been created by a patriarchal society to ensure economic stability and to keep women in their places? Please share your views.

I am not sure they are made in heaven, they might be but it takes the two people involved to keep working on it, and one who believes in mother nature I am not truly convinced that marriage really tallys up with mother natures animalistic urges between men and women....

if the marriage based on love, marriage surely made in heaven. but love can fade with time. if the love faded, the marriage will be hell.
