Advise please, is it possible to make a living working from home?

Please advise, I really need some assurance today. My last job, which ended this minute, was a work from home job. It paid well, and I had gotten used to all my online colleagues. We had become such great friends. The problem is that I have so much gotten used to working from home that I don't want to step out of the house, commute, and go and work hours in someone's office. I would love to work in the comforts of my own home. Is it possible to make this dream of mine a reality? I know there are plenty of work from home jobs out there; but I am talking about making a living.

I am not sure i keep hearing people say it but because of all the scammers out there, the real opportunities are hard to find. I cant recommend anything that earns legit money because alot of places claim you will have heaps of work but they usually charge a fees and start up costs? i have never signed with a company that charges a start up bonus
