Alot of older man try controlling young lady. Like I'm 35 my ex-husband is 51 years old. If I did not do what he said he would lock me out or take my car keys and try to make me feel like I was the worst person in the world is it a way to make him feel like a big man. I would like to hear from you.

Some older men do this because the female lets them. I have always been with older men but I'm happy to report they never treated me this way and the majority don't. But I'm also not shy and will say what I want and do what I want and they can hit the road if they don't like it. Your husband has somehow found it easy to control you and I would leave. My man now and I are the same age difference as you and your husband- he wouldn't even think about treating me in that manner. Don't let anyone make you feel like that ever- he isn't worth that!:) Leave! Get Away from him..sounds like he might be one step away from hitting you or something. :(

Hi Carlysa1. I cannot figure out of, how you can still stay and live together with your ex-husband as you mentioned that he took your car key and drop you with that all kind of difficulties. Did he bought you that car? If so, just return the car to him and started exhibit your own principle of life. So you better doff yourself and your life from him. Make your new life and prove that you will be somebody one day. Better be yourself. A constructive jealousy will develop your life, otherwise, it will ruins your life. Think about it !!!

I think many men do behave in this manner and you are better off without him. Marriage is a partnership. It doesn't have to be 50 - 50 on every point but there should be mutual respect. It's a shame some people feel the need to control others, they should start trying to control themselves.

No , i don't agree . I should say it depends on someone! Maybe it is one part of your ex-husband's personality ! It's his problem !
