waiting for tv shows to restart:( midseason breaks

i'm sure many of you like myself really hate when tv shows such as smallville etc stop midseason for holidays! its so annoying! really throws me off especially when i dont know it'll end and find myself watching and waiting for nothing the following week. especially when it's like smallville recently, a break then one episode before another break! aaaaaaa!!!who agrees?!?!
