yes my bf works for a guy who is starting own busness and wants to know can he buy his own workers comp for himself only, and if yes where can he get it at?

I am not certain about this but if you work in Australia I believe you can. Contact work cover and ask them about it. I believe that if your boyfriend is actually employed by this guy and not just contracting to him the the guy has to cover him for workers comp. I would definitely be asking more questions about this as he could be putting himself at risk.
