Until you are sure that it is your eyes giving you the migraines, You need to be very careful about taking herbs and such. Migraines can be very serious and some herbs do not mix with medications. If you do use herbs, make sure to tell both your Doctor and your pharmacist.

One of the worst things to eat is MSG. Most commercial mixes have Monosodium Glautomate (MSG) in them. MSG can make a migraine start within just a few minutes after you eat it.

Try to avoid cheese, chocolate and anything with caffeine in it such as coffee as these can trigger an attack. http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/health/127568/Migraine?pkw=Migraine (hopefully you'll get some more good advice from that site too)

What has always helped me best when I have migraines is cold, an ice bag or something, and then go lay down in a dark room. Works better than any migraine meds I've had. Another thing to look into is acupressure, or pressure points. It's basically the same thing as acupuncture but without the needles. It has helped me a lot from my headaches but also with insomnia and stress and you can do it yourself.

try to take some medicine that can reduce the pain very fast.. of cause it's not good to always taking those medicine, but when there's a need, do not struggle to take it! the medicine that I take is Caffox (or any medicine which is with 1mg of Ergotamine tartrate and 100mg of Caffeine).. It's a very powerful medicine which can reduce your pain in a short time(for me, I start sweating after an hour taking it then my headache will gone~).. but it's expensive, and very not good to take it frequently~

I use ice packs. I was skeptical at first but it does work. I always take an advil or something like that with a cup of caffine. Most of the time that atleast eases it up a little bit. Good LUck! I have migraines super bad right before and after my monthly. I would rather die than go through them sometimmes. So hormones are probably what's causing mine...

May you can try the Feverfew aspsules. It is a garden herb that is available as supplements. Some people find that it reduces the frequency of migraine attacks.
