Why Coffee?

Why is the habit of drinking coffee? From where comes this habit? For example, in italy drink coffee after every meal, which comes from this habit? It's strange ^__^

Most people here in America drink coffee in the morning. Some people will sip on it all day long. I don't know where the tradition began, but I can say that the caffeine is addictive and that is what has kept it going.

yea caffeine keeps awake, it will be for what coffee is drunk so often. I have heard that in America, however, coffee is stretched, with more water. It's true?

since i was a kid i always drink coffee. when i was very young we started to drink the brewed coffee since it is cheaper that time compare to instant coffee but now since we can afford to buy instant coffee we usually drink the instant type. i am a coffee lover and usually drink coffee 3 cups a day especially with cream
