Haha, I love Galaga! It's a classic and I could play that game forever. I also think Resident Evil 4 is very addicting.

the game i played so far and i still play is football manager 07! i like it so much that sometimes in one day i finish a hole footballing period!!

In terms of a game I could play through over and over...it would be Final Fantasy VI.
In terms of a game I could just play over and over again, there are a lot of those (World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy Tactics, Disgaea 2, Simearth, and others)

One word: Contra.
In both situations I'd choose Contra because it's one of those experiences you never really forget. It's challenging and rewarding too. Of course, it's fun to play with a friend, just make sure you're around the same skill level. :P
