The main reason i switched to a lcd monitor was because of space issues. Back when i got it i didnt know TOO much about computer specs and things like that. Luckily enough, i now understand i made a worthwile investment. For all you with a crt, make the switch, it even saves your eyes the strain of hours and hours of watching a screen.

I have tried LCD monitors but color wise, CRT monitors are still the best. LCD monitors save more electricity though and it doesn't heat up that fast as compared to CRT ones.

I switched to LCD monitors about 4 years ago... While CRT monitors are outdated, they are still used by most designers because their colours are more accurate and that they support high resolutions... A 24-inch LCD monitor supports 1920x1080 , but a 20-inch CRT monitor can go up to 2560x1600

I already change my CRT monitor to LCD because: CRT MONITOR: - HIGHER POWER CONSUMPTION - BULKY, DEPTH & HEAVY UNLIKE, LCD: - LESS SPACE AND WEIGHT - LOWER POWER CONSUMPTION & HEAT - LESS GLARE

Thank god the industry came up with lcd monitors! Not that I hate crt monitors but when I replace my 21" crt with 2 19" tft I found that this solution was best for my eyes! No more burning or dry eyes, you know! (Steve cut the price of the 30" cinema display, would you?)
