Do you tell white lies?

Most people like to be honest and truthful. But do you ever find yourself telling white lies? How many times have your friends, or family asked you for your honest opinion about what they've done or their appearance, and when you do offer an honest objective opinion, the reaction is usually like: you don't really appreciate me!
Usually this happens with trivial things - not a discussion about something serious. But still, do you feel forced to tell a white lie just to keep things cool and avoid resentment and negative feelings?
It seems we would like the truth but cannot always tolerate it!

I consider myself honest, but I also do the occasional white lie to spare someone's feeling. To me it's important not to hurt people with the truth, and that's when I decide to do a white lie. Like that example with appearance... Not once have I ever heard anyone say to me after a haircut that I look terrible, which in some cases are true. It's just being polite, I don't think we are all going to hell because of it :)
I'm kind of funny because I don't like when people tell me white lies. I want the truth and nothing but the truth, yet I tell white lies to keep the peace.

I love to be honest and truthful as much as I can too. I am known among friends to be an honest person. But, to say that I've never tell any lies or white lies before is a lie by itself. Of course, I've told white lies before. Usually those lies are said to make everyone feel better or to make the situation better. I try as much as I can not to tell those lies.
I hate telling lies because to tell one lie means you have to tell many other lies to cover up that one lie. It's tiring having to keep thinking of excuses to cover up something. Moreover I am not good in coming up with excuses.

I try not to tel any lies,but I will fib a little to save someones feelings. Like my friend just had her beautiful long hair cut. I really liked it before but I told her looked nice. Why hurt someone if you dont have to.

Hi,there! Well,frankly speaking,I have had the experiences of telling white lies.However,I don't like doing that too much. I do it only when it's really necessary and I have to do that in order not to hurt too many people or sth like that.But I still prefer telling the truth and I think that's the right thing to do.I also dislike others cheating me,no matter for what reasons.So I'll try my best to tell the truth in the future:) Thanks for the discussion and have a nice day^_^

It really depends. If I don't like myfriend's girlfriend I would tell him, but I wouldnt tell him completely why. I recently told a friend that I dont trust him to go out with his ex girlfriend. I try not to tell little white lies, but there are times when I catch myself telling them.
