Philippine Peso on 2008

2007 was very very good for the Philippine Peso against the US dollar. I remember starting 2007 with computing peso as Php50 to a dollar, and by the end of 2007, it was Php41 to a dollar... whew! (and to think that there was about half a decade that we were stuck at Php55 to dollar)! I originally thought that it was the US dollar going down, by I also work with Taiwan currency and I used to compute Php1.5 for each Taiwan dollar, now, it's just about Php1.2. This is good and bad news... good, I think, is because the Philippine economy is improving... bad, is for our overseas workers and those who transact with the peso-dollar who lose hundreds of pesos when converting currency. Any thoughts on the future of the Philippine Peso for 2008? Php30 to a dollar by end of 2008? (I'd keep my savings if Philippine Peso if that happens!)

we can't forecast what's happening in our economy next next month or year. there is a fluctuation of our money compared to dollar. i agree if dollar is equivalent to 30 peso maybe many OFW (overseas filipino workers) will return to their home because of low rate in dollars compared to peso. filipinos will be happy if that will happen. our economy will be productive and maybe many investor will come to us.
