do you think its a good idea to let children play with toy weapons?

i dont think it is as i think its encouraging violence. i personaly wouldnt let my son play with toy weapons. what do you think?

i have to disagree with you maggiemoon i think there are more appropriate toys to give a child . whats interesting about toy weapons?? weapons are used for killing. but thanks for your response

I agree that it promotes violence.I don't allow any type of weapon/toy.Even the little toys that carry their own weapons,nope not for my son...
